Addison's Blog: Geology in Canada

My selected country for this semester is Canada which is located in the North Western region of the World. It is right above the main portion of the United States, and to the right of Greenland. Canada has several mountains that elevate around almost 13 thousand feet, including the tallest one in the country, Mount Robson, which sits at 12,972 feet. A little fun fact about history was the first Europeans to discover this land were Vikings during the year 1497 and declared it, "New Founde Land".  As for its scientific fun facts, the country stretches across the northern hemisphere for about 4,700 miles. And to make things more interesting, if you want to find the oldest rocks in this particular country, a prominent location to explore is the Canadian Shield, which is an area made up of swamps and lakes. Their currency is the Canadian Dollar, and their most common languages are English and French.

Below here, is a mapped location in Canada where you can see the vast majority of lakes and mountains. And right below it, you'll find a picture of Mount Robson.
