Canadian Geological Discoveries: Extreme Weather Patterns October 26, 2022 Our next topic for this blog will be extreme weather. Extreme weather is an event that is unexpected in the skies that affect the environment. Some examples are thunderstorms, exotic heat, snowstorms, and dry coastal areas. Some of these weather patterns change due to the climate above the atmosphere when a layer of moisture is on top of the troposphere. One of the biggest weather problems to be labeled extreme would be known as Climate Change, which is about how weather changes its conditions uncontrollably and creates other disasters. Some consequences involve sea levels at different heights, increases in temperatures, and heavy rainfalls to soft sprinkles. In the past, this has affected Canada for over 50 years, causing droughts in the North, making the area so warm, it could be a potential target for forest fires.
